SENSORS

Simply said, it is not the platform, but the sensor that determines how well you can answer your questions and reach your aim. Although very fascinating, the drone is just the carrier/platform, the sensor is the unit that collects your data.

In the Application initiative at AU, KU and DTU we have the following sensors which can be mounted on drones:

  • Various high resolution RGB and NIR cameras
  • Multispectral (4 or 5 bands)
  • Hyperspectral (up to 1100 nm)
  • Thermal sensors
  • LiDAR

In addition to the sensor that will be carried by the drones, we have various sensors available  for thorough ground truthing, e.g.  handheld hyperspectral and field.
